Classroom Book

IHola a todos!

Please look in your Friday Folder for an order form and letter from me.

Fourth grade Spanish students are writing about the photos they brought in or e-mailed to me earlier this month.  We're having a classroom book professionally bound by Studentreasures Publishing, with each student having one page with a couple of personal photos and the opposite page with short paragraphs written by the student, describing the photos and California locations.  This book is free for the classroom, and parents are invited to order a copy of the book as well.  Books will arrive in May.

In order for us to receive the free book for the classroom, parents need to complete and return the order form I sent home in the Friday Folder.  You may mark the box that says, "No, I'm not interested at this time"; the company just wants to be sure that all parents were given the opportunity to purchase a book!

The students are excited about having a classroom book that contains their writing in Spanish!   Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete and send back the form on Monday.

Sinceramente,
Maestra Mitoma

Las cuatro regiones de California

We are going to write about the California regions in Spanish class.  The fourth graders were given an assignment last Thursday to e-mail me (preferred) or bring in 2-4 photos of themselves in different regions in California.  They should also answer the following questions for each picture:
  1. Where are you?
  2. In which region are you?
  3. Who is in the picture with you? (if anyone else is in the picture)
  4. Approximately when did you go? (the approximate year or about how old you were)
The assignment is due on Wednesday, March 8, but students are encouraged to do this before Wednesday.  I've already received quite a few pictures!
